Subsea Cable Project

The project was set up to develop, consent, build and operate an HVDC electrical interconnector between Scotland and Norway. The 665km long, 1400MW interconnector would provide an electricity transmission link allowing the two nations to exchange power and increase use of renewable energy.

Delivered Scope & Responsibility

• Tender evaluation & negotiation towards major contractors allowing final Contract award to preferred bidders (circa 3x €500m)
• Develop Time & Budget to support financial investment decision (Sanction) and UK -Cap & Floor values (Re-payment Method)
• Develop principles, procedures, and execution strategy for execution phase
• Review and implement software allowing Company to provide appropriate Project Controls techniques
